Kata - Shuji – Motokatsu Inoue
  1. [n] Step back left foot into right Zenkutsu Dachi, Otoshi-Uchi.
  2. [n] Left foot up into Shiko Dachi, Backwards thrust as foot lands, then Tsuki-Komi.
  3. [w] (fig. 4) Pivot to Gyaku Zenkutsu Dachi, Osae-Uke, (slide both feet same time) Tsuki-Otoshi.
  4. [w] Pivot to Zenkutsu Dachi, Tate-Uke (left hand uppermost – no grip change).
  5. [e] Pivot 180 degrees Tate-Uke, left hand uppermost.
  6. [e] Otoshi-Uchi, Yoko-Uke.
  7. [n] (fig. 10) Left foot comes back to right as you pivot 90 dgrees to the left. Left end of bo rises in a feint. In one continuous motion, jump forward with both feet as you execute Otoshi-Uchi with right end of Bo, left foot steps back into Zenkutsu Dachi, Yoko-Uke (Soto).
  8. [n] Left foot comes up to right as you as left end of bo rises in a feint. In one continuous motion, jump forward with both feet as you execute Otoshi-Uchi with right end of Bo, left foot steps back into Zenkutsu Dachi, Yoko-Uke (Soto).
  9. [n] Left foot comes up to right as you as left end of bo rises in a feint. In one continuous motion, jump forward with both feet as you execute Otoshi-Uchi with right end of Bo, left foot steps back into Zenkutsu Dachi, Yoko-Uke (Soto).
  10. [e] (fig. 19) Turn to right while stepping forward with right foot into Kosa Dachi, Tate-Uke (Hikkake Round Block-A).
  11. [e] Step back with left foot into Zenkutsu Dachi, execute Otoshi-Uchi with right end of Bo, Yoko-Uke (Soto).
  12. [w] Pivot 180 degrees into Left Neko Ashi Dachi, (prepare for low block) Morote-Uke as in Shindo Jinen version (left hand uppermost), bo vertical (not 45 degree angle).
  13. [w] Left foot moves into Gyaku Zenkutsu Dachi, Osae-Uke, (slide both feet same time) Tsuki-Otoshi.
  14. [w] Right foot steps in front of left into right Kosa Dachi, Tate-Uke (Harai-Uke sweeping block).
  15. [w] Step back with left foot into Zenkutsu Dachi, Otoshi-Uchi, Yoko-Uke (Soto).
  16. [w] (fig. 28) Step back with right foot into Shiko Dachi, Chudan Gyauku Soto-Uchi. Cross right foot in front of left, step into Shiko Dachi, Chudan Soto-Uchi.
  17. [n] Pivot to the right into right Zenkutsu Dachi, Tate-Uke (Hikkake round block-A), Otoshi-Uchi, Nuki-Tsuki (sliding front foot in slightly), Yoko-Uke (Soto).
  18. [n] Waki-Kamae, Naore. Chudan-Kamae bo is anchor on the hip of trailing foot. Waki-Kamae, swing bo around so it is anchored on hip of leading leg. Naore, twirl bo so it is in right hand behind right arm, slide right foot back to Hajime position.
