I started training in July 1993 with my 2 sons, Kyle and Dustin. My
intent was to stick with this for 3 months to get my boys hooked and then
I would quit. Well, 5 years later they were taking time off, to be
children, and I continued training.  I earned my Shodan in November
1999.

While I have trained under many wonderfully talented Senseis’ in our
organization, I feel proud to call Hillsboro home. This is where I
started, this is where I was training when I promoted to Shodan. Many
special Thanks to Sensei Wally Hancock, Sensei Bill Plapinger, and Sensei
George Coleman.
